The Conti, Cusack, Dubochet, Müller, Saraste, Sattler and Wilmanns lab groups reunite at the Kendrew Symposium
More than 40 former and current EMBL lab members of Elena Conti, Stephen Cusack, Jacques Dubochet, Christoph Müller, Matti Saraste, Michael Sattler and Matthias Wilmanns united on 16 November at EMBL Heidelberg. The reunions were held on the occasion of the Kendrew Symposium, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of Sir John Kendrew, EMBL’s first Director General.
The lab reunions aimed to encourage former and current lab members to connect, stay up-to-date with each other’s scientific research and explore opportunities for collaboration. There was also time for the former predocs to visit the library to find their PhD theses and to reminisce and share stories over dinner and drinks, with many lab members exchanging photographs from past adventures together both in and out of the lab.
