Bodil Holle, former Senior Administrative Officer at EMBL Heidelberg and EMBL-EBI, died on 23 April 2023 at the age of 84.

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the loss of Bodil Holle.

Bodil worked at EMBL for 18 years in the period between 1975-2003, first at EMBL Heidelberg and later at EMBL-EBI. She was the Safety Officer and Head of Technical Services at EMBL Heidelberg from 1975-1986, before taking position at the UN in Trieste for a decade. Bodil worked at EMBL-EBI between 1996-2000, supporting the Applied Computing and Bioinformatics department, and later Meetings and Workshops. Bodil returned to EMBL Heidelberg in 2000, where she worked for three years in the Social and General Services.

Bodil worked with and helped many during her almost 20 years at EMBL. She will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
