Heinz-Dieter Gentz, former EMBL Hamburg Driver and Caretaker, died on 27 September 2022 at the age of 74.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the loss of our former colleague Heinz-Dieter Gentz, who passed away on 27 September 2022. He was a member of staff at EMBL Hamburg for 16 years, from 1997 until 2013.

Heinz-Dieter is remembered as a colleague who helped everyone, for whom nothing was too much. May he rest in peace.
