Celebrate the achievements of alumni Nils Gehlenborg (Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School in Boston) and Raffaele De Francesco (Head of Virology at the Institute for Molecular Genetics in Milan).  The awards will be presented by Ewan Birney and Alfredo Nicosia.

17:15-17:45: Drinks Reception, EMBL ATC Foyer

A drinks reception with award recipients and EMBL staff and alumni following the ceremony.

17:45-19:45: Farewell Celebration for Iain Mattaj, EMBL ATC Foyer and Klaus Tschira Auditorium

Talks and performances from EMBL staff and alumni in tribute to Iain Mattaj, EMBL Director General.

19:45-late: Lab Day Dinner and Party, EMBL Canteen
