Toby Gibson material
During 2023-2024 we worked closely with retired EMBL Group Leader Toby Gibson to transfer his material to the archive, and now his collection is being published. Further additions are expected.
Preserving and sharing the Laboratory’s heritage
We primarily receive scientific and cultural materials through internal transfers. This means that EMBL staff can transfer items that belong to EMBL but are currently in their care. We also accept donations, which are contributions from external individuals (mostly alumni) who wish to give us something that belongs to them from their time at EMBL. Occasionally, we may purchase items. We usually don’t take items temporarily, but we might consider loans in special cases.
If you want to transfer or donate items to the EMBL Archive, please fill out the Transfer and Donation Form. Our EMBL Archives and Records Manager is here to help you with the form. For more details, check out our Archive Collection Guidelines on the EMBL Intranet (internal access only), or contact our office for the document.
