Lyncée Tec is an innovative, dynamic and customer focused company based and founded in 2003 in Lausanne, Switzerland offers matured digital holography microscopes through a worldwide network of distributors. Additionally of standard product portfolio, Lyncée Tec develops customized system to specific needs, and supplies OEM solutions. In the field of 4D microscopy, and in particular for environmental and in-situ measurements. Lyncée has a unique knowledge of customer needs, applications, business development, R&D, manufacturing, assembling, quality assurance, and distribution. Collaborative projects with several research institutes provides access to wide range of know-how and expertise, resulting in numerous patents held by or licensed to Lyncée Tec. Together, a highly qualified multidisciplinary team of more than 25 physicists, biologists and engineers specialized in optics, software, mechanics, and in bio & micro-and nano-technology applications, ensures the presence of the requisite skills in terms of advices, technical execution and training.
As a partner in this project, Lyncée intends to cooperate with the EMBL towards training of the Fellows. Lyncée can host up to two Fellows per year in the period 2020-2024 through secondments and introduce them to the ways of working, instrumentation and procedures at Lausane. Duration of secondments will be between 2 and 6 months and will be arranged in communication with the Fellow. Fellows who will do secondments at Lyncée will come from the field related or complementary to the field of work of EMBL.
At Lyncée Fellows will have a possibility to learn the basis of DHM® technology, its use and its applications. The Fellows will also have a chance to get acquainted with the operation of Digital Holographic Microscopes. Lyncée will dedicate supervision capacity for each fellow on secondments. During secondments, Fellows can stay employed by EMBL.
Lyncée intends also to host mini-secondments in a duration of up to two weeks, during which Fellows will shadow operations at Lyncée.
