As a partner in this project, Olympus intends to cooperate with the EMBL towards training of the Fellows. Olympus can host up to two Fellows per year in the period 2020-2024 through secondments and introduce them to the ways of working, instrumentation and procedures at Olympus. Duration of secondments will be between 1 and 4 months and will be arranged in communication with the Fellow. Fellows who will do secondmentsat Olympus will come from the field related or complementary to the field of work of Olympus.
At Olympus Fellows will have a possibility to learn the basics- of microscopy and imaging technologies, product managemen,tproduct marketing, organization and execution of activities such as microscopy courses, workshops, product presentation on conferences.
The Fellows will also have a chance to get acquainted with the operation of product marketing of advanced microscopy imaging system products, product presentations, training activities and technical service at the European headquarters of Olympus as well as at other locations and customer labs in Europe.
Olympus will dedicate supervision capacity for each fellow on secondments. During secondments , Fellows can stay employed by EMBL.
