As a partner in this project, the Institute of Advanced Biosciences intends to cooperate with the EMBL towa rds training of the Fellows. The Institute of Advanced Biosciences can host up to six Fellows per year in the period 2020-2024 through secondments and introdu ce them to the ways of working, instrumentation and procedures at the Institute of Advanced Biosciences. Duration of secondments will be between 2 and 6 months and will be arranged in communication with the Fellow. Fellows who will do secondment s at the Institute of Advanced Biosciences will come from the field related or complementary to the field of work of the Institute of Advanced Biosciences. At the Institute of Advanced Biosciences Fellows will have a possibility to learn technologies applied to:

• In silico epigenetics
• Host Parasite interactions
• Biology of germ cells
• Organo’ids and small animal imaging
• In cellulo and in vivo drug validation

• Cell targeting for imaging and treatment
• Translational epigenetics in cancerology
• Functional human genetics
• Epigenetics epidemiology

The Fellows will also have a chance to get acquainted with the operation of bioinformatics pipelines (NGS, epidemiology), optical based imaging systems (cells, organoids, small animals, human), P2 biosafety culture rooms to manipulate class II pathogens, innovative genome engineering technologies (CRISPR-Cas). The Institute of Advanced Biosciences will dedicate supervision capacity for each fellow on secondments. During secondments, Fellows can stay employed by EMBL.

The Institute of Advanced Biosciences intends also to host mini-secondments in a duration of up to two weeks, during which Fellows will shadow operations at the Institute of Advanced Biosciences.
