EMBL Advanced Training Centre (ATC)

Spectacular and dynamic, the EMBL Advanced Training Centre on the Heidelberg campus – which celebrated its grand opening in March 2010 – provides the ideal venue in which to hold scientific conferences or practical courses in the heart of Europe.

Constructed to facilitate the delivery of advanced scientific training and education, the EMBL Advanced Training Centre provides participants with exceptional amenities; from the spacious Klaus Tschira Auditorium, exhibition space and catering facilities, to state-of-the-art meeting rooms, computer facilities and on-site laboratories for cutting-edge practical courses.

With outstanding and eye-catching architecture inspired by DNA’s double helix, the EMBL Advanced Training Centre is a striking and distinct venue close to the historic Heidelberg. Awe-inspiring views across the Rhine valley from the Rooftop Lounge create a unique and relaxed environment for networking and socialising.

With the latest high-tech equipment on-site, the EMBL Advanced Training Centre is an innovative and modern venue for EMBL´s Course and Conference programme that balances function with ingenuity and charisma.

Klaus Tschira Auditorium

The impressive Klaus Tschira Auditorium is the heart of the EMBL Advanced Training Centre and our largest meeting room.

Meeting rooms

The EMBL Advanced Training Centre features 14 meeting and event rooms (including 3 small meeting rooms for 16 people each upon request) in addition to the Klaus Tschira Auditorium.

Catering

Catering at the EMBL Advanced Training Centre is exclusively provided by our staff restaurant.
