EMBL Course
This workshop will bring together young professionals and students to learn and apply state-of-the-art design thinking techniques. Over the course of three days small interdisciplinary teams will co-create innovative healthcare solutions for chronic disease management. Each team will take on a specific pre-defined challenge from the fields of precision health and data driven medicine. Engaging keynote speakers and experienced mentors will guide participants through the process of ideation, prototyping and business planning. At the end of the workshop, each team will pitch their solution idea to share the results and learnings with the group of participants and experts. Apart from learning new design thinking skills, participants will also have the opportunity to build networks with their peers as well as professionals with diverse backgrounds.
The event will be co-delivered by the EMBL | Stanford Life Science Alliance, Roche Diabetes Care, EIT Health and SOMMERRUST.
This course is aimed at Master’s and PhD students as well as postdocs with diverse backgrounds ranging from life sciences, engineering and medicine to entrepreneurship, business, marketing and public health.
Learners will be able to apply design thinking processes.
This course is organised in cooperation with Roche.
