Capitalising on the services provided by the Mobile Services for on-site sample processing for electron microscopy, we not only want to understand the bio-geographical trends underlying the vast morphological and ultrastructural diversity of dinoflagellates, but also use this opportunity to establish a biobank of cryo-preserved and resin-embedded environmental samples accessible on request for downstream analysis.
