As a collaboration between the Szilárd Library and TREC Public Engagement, the Library will host “Nexus Island”, a workshop that is being offered in locations linked with the expedition TREC (TRaversing European Coastlines), and it will be held at EMBL Heidelberg for the first time.
This interactive, game-based workshop is designed starting from an original idea by our colleague Michele. The workshop has been developed in close collaboration with EMBL researchers and the SEPE team. Aim of the workshop is that everyone can experience what our researchers do running the scientific expedition TREC.
Participants of the workshop will sample the coast of Nexus Island, collect and identify species, and find collaborative solutions for the environment that is under the pressure of the human impact.
This will also be an opportunity to discover the library collection on biodiversity, ecology, environment and other “Green” topics.
Join us for this amazing opportunity to learn more about the TREC expedition and the library resources. Have fun with your colleagues and enjoy coffee and cake!
The workshop is limited for 20 participants, register to ensure your place!
