In the year when we are celebrating 50 years of the Szilárd Library foundation and 45 years of its inauguration, librarians are organizing a book flea market in the library area at the top of B helix in ATC.

For a voluntary contribution, you can pick from many deaccessioned textbooks, duplicate books, as well as a variety of non-fiction books, magazines, language and IT handbooks, or DVDs that were donated to the Library from former EMBL staff.

The money collected will be donated to the library at the “Katharina Labouré Haus” in Heidelberg which is a home for elderly people.

Nice and unique giveaways are ready for those who participate in our initiative!

We thank our colleague Katie (OSIM) for handmade crocheted snowflakes, Holly (Creative team) for creating our printed giveaways and, Lidija for Christmas tree ceramic decorations that celebrate the library anniversary.
