Anke Beutel is a garment industry specialist and she will introduce garments’ materials facts and their impact to environment, and how we can help saving the natural resources. Participants will get to know:
Special part is dedicated to Rana Plaza disaster and the human victims of the fast fashion.
Participants should bring only a few carefully selected garment pieces and add a little tag with the story of the garment, for example:
“What did the garment experience with me – travel, cozy evenings on the couch with my favorite series, watching shooting stars with someone I like”
“Why did I select it in the first place”
“Wishes and care instructions for the new owner”
Doing so we add the value to the garments and promote their longevity.
Baby plants such as Tradescantia plants, snake plants, pothos, Mexican mint are kindly provided by our colleague Irena Provaznikova, and are offered for take-away to green up the offices, while the seed library concept “Borrow-Grow-Share” brings this year exciting seed packages like bee-friendly flowers, cocktail herbs, herbal tea sets, edible flowers, varieties of chili and pumpkins – get a special seed loan and grow your own treats!
Finally, we have the new books on environmental topics for our sustainable future: find the answers are ways to net zero possible? How to look out for climate justice? Can we still reach the clear blue sky? What is the impact of microplastics in the oceans?
