Finance

The Finance unit controls and administers all aspects of the laboratory's finances. The unit prepares EMBL's Annual Financial Statements, produces regular management financial reports and manages day-to-day financial transactions.

The SAP Team manages the software system used by EMBL for financial management, human resources, purchasing and materials management (Stores).

The Grants Services Team assists scientists in procuring funding for research projects from a variety of external sources.

The Finance unit also supports scientists with financial management and reporting of these projects.

Grants Services

Grants Services offers support and resources for EMBL staff in grant related matters. We support scientists in the search for suitable funding, the application process and in the negotiation phase where appropriate, as well as post-award management of grants.
