The SEPE team wishes everyone a wonderful holiday season!

As we celebrate 20 years of science learning and engagement, we look back on an exciting and dynamic year.

Our permanent exhibition “The World of Molecular Biology” officially opened its doors to schools and the public at EMBL Heidelberg’s Imaging Centre and has already been visited by over 1800 people. As we continue to offer our online educational programmes, it has been an immense pleasure to once again host participants in person. We had the opportunity to engage with over 1250 young learners and over 3500 educators this year. And our TREC outreach programme, accompanying EMBL’s flagship expedition on the first leg of its tour, has engaged 7000+ members of local communities in 14 European countries.

We would not have achieved this without the invaluable contributions of our partners and the enthusiasm of our amazing participants!
