Formerly known as European Learning Laboratory for the Life Sciences
Our inspiring educational experiences share the scientific discoveries of EMBL with young learners aged 10-19 years and teachers in Europe and beyond. We belong to EMBL’s Science Education and Public Engagement office.
This October, we are delighted to be running for the second year our innovative train-the-trainer course for European educators and teacher trainers who want to learn more about genomics. The course, which will take place from 7-9 October 2024 at EMBL in Heidelberg, Germany, is designed to enhance your ability to provide professional development in genomics to fellow educators.
Participants will attend seminars with EMBL scientists, visit research facilities and receive training on EMBL’s new ‘From DNA to therapy’ classroom resource. This course offers a unique opportunity to become a certified EMBL Teacher Ambassador, enabling you to deliver EMBLconnect courses following the EMBL teacher training model in your local community.
The course is free, in English and includes accommodation for participants. To participate, apply by 4 August 2024. Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your professional network and bring cutting-edge genomics education to your local schools!
