Planetary Biology in Action: Exploring Ecosystems

#PlaBio2025

Self-paced course

Planetary biology is essential for understanding the complex relationships between organisms and their environments, and for addressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecosystem sustainability. This spring, EMBL’s Science Education and Public Engagement (SEPE) team, in partnership with Merck, invites educators and enthusiasts to take part in a self-paced training course.

Planetary Biology in Action: Exploring Ecosystems” course includes content from EMBL’s virtual LearningLAB 2023, “Exploring ecosystems”. It provides an overview of planetary biology, highlighting the latest approaches and techniques used to explore the field and offers practical strategies for effectively bringing this topic into the classroom.

Running from 22 April to 1 June 2025, this certification-ready course is delivered entirely online, allowing participants to engage with the material at their own convenience and pace. The course is taught in English.

Visit the course page for more details and access the course any day by 1 June 2025.
