The European Learning Laboratory for the Life Sciences (ELLS) invites European secondary school science teachers to apply for the ELLS LearningLAB “The new gene technology revolution – exploring genome engineering and transgenic animal research” at EMBL Heidelberg, Germany.
The 2.5-day professional training course in English will consist of a mix of seminars by EMBL scientists, hands-on activities, lab experiments and visits to state-of-the-art research facilities at EMBL. The programme will cover a wide range of topics and highlight the use of cutting-edge gene technologies and transgenic animals in research, and how these topics may be transferred to the classrooms.
