Formerly known as European Learning Laboratory for the Life Sciences
Our inspiring educational experiences share the scientific discoveries of EMBL with young learners aged 10-19 years and teachers in Europe and beyond. We belong to EMBL’s Science Education and Public Engagement office.
How do our brains control behaviour? What can mice tell us about our emotions? And: are there different types of fear biologically speaking?
If you ever wondered about questions like this, the upcoming EMBL Insight Lecture on the 5th December is for you!
Join us for what promises to be an exciting insight into the world of emotions in Cornelius Gross’ lecture “Why do we do what we do? Exploring the neural basis of emotions”. The event will be streamed live via the web from 10:45 am – 12:00 CET.
To follow the EMBL Insight Lecture, teachers can register their students until 2 December 2014 via our designated registration page.
During the lecture, there will be two question sessions in which you can interact with our speaker via Skype. If you would like to test your Skype connection, you are welcome to take part in the Skype test session on Thursday 4 December between 12:00 and 13:00 CET, which will also present the opportunity to ask us questions about the process of the live streaming on the next day.
