Our inspiring educational experiences share the scientific discoveries of EMBL with young learners aged 10-19 years and teachers in Europe and beyond. We belong to EMBL’s Science Education and Public Engagement office.
Selecting meaningful educational material suitable for supplementing the curriculum when teaching life sciences remotely might be challenging at times.
Here, we present a collection of our educational resources which can be used for virtual or distance learning in the European Journal for Science Teachers, “Science in School”. The listed resources are aimed at students aged 7-19, introducing molecular life sciences through online, computer-based activities or simple kitchen experiments. All resources are standalone and can be used in different contexts and with different learning goals. The article introduces each resource briefly, highlighting activity content, target age and activity languages available.
