The ALMF is happy to present a newly available confocal microscope Zeiss LSM980 AIRY Fast. In the confocal mode up to 6 fluorescence detection channels can be used in parallel. The AIRY detector enables to improve lateral and axial image resolution beyond regular confocal. AiryFast modality enables faster acquisition with regular confocal or improved resolution by scanning up to 8 lines in parallel.

The microscope is additionally equipped with several hardware and software modules to configure and run complex fully automated or semi-automated acquisition workflows. Wide field camera and sample finder modules are available to generate fast overviews of the samples with fluorescence, transmission and reflection modalities. The advanced automation features, such as macro programming and Zen connect modules, enable combining low resolution overviews with high-resolution imaging of target objects or synchronising imaging rounds with automated image analysis or sample perturbations.

The microscope will be equipped with an incubator box soon.
