Moritz Pfleiderer, the first PhD student in the Galej group, has successfully defended his thesis last Thursday.

During the PhD, Moritz studied multi-subunit Integrator complex, which is involved in transcription attenuation and snRNAs 3′-end processing. His results were recently published in Molecular Cell.

After a 3h-long examination conducted by Lori Passmore, Marin Jinek, Christoph Muller and Carlo Petosa, the Jury unanimously awarded him a PhD degree.
