Advanced optical techniques for deep tissue microscopy
Currently there are opportunities to join our research group as a postdoctoral researcher, PhD student, or Master student.
Research experience in any one of the following areas is highly preferred but not required: multi-photon microscopy, adaptive optics, computational imaging or optical engineering. A background in physics, neuroscience, engineering or computational science is beneficial. The successful candidate is expected to take a strong lead on his/her project and engage in close collaboration with biologists and neuroscientists.

Students will have the opportunity to learn how to develop and engineer innovative microscopes as well as experimental control and data analysis software to address a variety of cutting-edge biomedical research questions. Research experience in physics or related fields and a background/interest in optics, programming or engineering is desired. As our research is geared towards direct applications in biology and neuroscience, the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and the willingness to work outside ones core expertise is required. Students are further expected to be highly motivated to work on challenging research projects in an international team.
