Joining the lab
Current opportunities to join our research group:
- As a postdoctoral fellow to study how the thalamus integrates visual information (for more details, see our lab’s research description). We are looking for clever, motivated people who are driven to study neuronal circuits and are eager to take a strong lead in their projects and the development of their own ideas. Experience in any one of these areas is preferred but not required: mouse molecular genetics, viral neuronal tracing, behavioral assays, two-photon microscopy, optogenetics, electrophysiology, and computational modelling. For all questions and to apply, please contact Santiago Rompani by email.
- As an Intern or Master’s Student. We are looking for interns and/or MS students to spend one year or more at our lab as part of a basic research internship or MS program (flexible starting date). Students will have the opportunity to fully integrate themselves into ongoing projects at the cutting edge of circuit neuroscience (for more details, see our lab’s research description). They will also learn and extensively use a variety of different techniques, including viral injections, craniotomies, and cutting-edge two-photon calcium imaging, all in vivo, in addition to learning how to analyze this complex data. We are looking for clever, motivated people who are driven to pursue scientific research and will consider students from every scientific background and any level of experience. For all questions and to apply, please contact Santiago by email.
