EMBL-EBI training news
Highlights from EMBL-EBI's Training Programme: Open Day in October, revamped training pages and a free webinar series.
Open Day
If you want to know more EMBL-EBI’s freely available data resources, or if you’re looking for a career in bioinformatics, come along to the next EMBL-EBI Open Day on Thursday, 29 October 2015.
This is the perfect opportunity for early-career scientists to find out more about how EMBL-EBI can support their research, and to hear about the many career paths available in bioinformatics. This year’s Open Day features parallel sessions, including:
- Opportunities to network with EMBL-EBI staff;
- Hands-on sessions covering core bioinformatics data resources;
- A tour of the campus data centre, which handles petabytes of molecular data.
The event is free to attend, but places are limited. Make sure to register soon to secure your place!
New-look training webpages
The new EMBL-EBI training web pages make it easier for you to find our courses, webinars and online training. Thanks to the many users who helped us test these pages out over the past few months!
Webinars in bioinformatics (free, of course!)
Have you seen our free webinars series, launched earlier this year to bring you short training sessions delivered by trainers from across EMBL-EBI? These 30-minute overviews of the latest developments in EMBL-EBI’s public data resources are broadcast live, and made available for later viewing. The recorded webinars are available to watch anytime from our website and YouTube channel. Follow us on Twitter for updates.
- Bioinformatics webinar series: Wednesdays at 4pm GMT / 5pm CET
