Fraunhofer, DESY, Hereon and EMBL signed a Memorandum of Understanding for closer cooperation in research and innovation
With this Memorandum, the four research institutions confirm their plans for future collaborations, in which the partners will pool their respective competences and infrastructures to create added value for research and industry.
The particular focus is on joint projects utilizing the infrastructure available on the DESY campus in Hamburg (such as the X-ray radiation source PETRA III and the free electron lasers), capitalizing on the potential offered by new imaging methods and new data formats and analyses. In the future, the four partners aim to establish structured cooperation based on this MoU.
