EMBL Grenoble is situated at the edge of Grenoble city on the EPN scientific campus, in the south east of France.
There are three airports with regular and convenient transfer options to Grenoble: Grenoble Alpes-Isère Airport (limited operations during the winter season), Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport, and Geneva Airport.
Lyon Airport is approximately one hours’ bus transfer to Grenoble. You can reserve your transfer directly on this website.
The bus will stop at "Place de la Résistance' which is within easy walking distance of the EMBL site.
Train transfer is also available directly to Grenoble city center. You can reserve your ticket on the SNCF website.
Located 40km from Grenoble city center, the airport mostly features winter seasonal leisure traffic. Transfers to and from the airport are less regular than from Lyon, you can check here for options.
Geneva Airport, located 144km from Grenoble, is accessible by train, with changes, and bus. More information regarding transfers can be found here.
Please note that there may be limited options to transfer to Grenoble if you arrive in Geneva Airport late in the evening. Transfer by car is approximately 1h30.
Grenoble to Paris by TGV takes just over 3 hours, with several daily options. There are links to all other major French and several international cities from Grenoble train station.
Grenoble has an extensive tram and bus network. The terminus of tram B, at stop Oxford, is a short 10 minute walk to the EPN campus and EMBL building. Tickets can be purchased at most tram stops.
